Design That Feels Personal, Not Pretentious
I’m Nissa Cardell, an interior designer and cabinetry consultant with over a decade of experience bringing clarity, creativity, and calm to the chaos of home projects.
My approach is simple: design should be easy, fun, and personal. I work with homeowners, designers, and builders across Bryn Mawr, Ardmore, Montgomery County, and the greater Mainline area, helping them turn ideas into spaces that actually work.
I started Three Oh One because I wanted to collaborate with good people—clients and trade professionals who value craftsmanship, communication, and a sense of humor as much as great design.
The Story Behind the Name
The name Three Oh One comes from front door in my grandparent’s home. The address being 301 First Street. This home, and this room (the kitchen) have held our family gatherings since they moved in; Its where my family has always gathered at Christmas time, where I went when I was home sick from school as a kid, and where I briefly lived one summer when I was home from college.
Its where so many great times have been had for many years, with some of my favorite people. Its got so many funny quirks and so much nostalgia for me. I LOVE nostalgia, that warm feeling inside of a great memory from the past.
If you look at this photo, in the wood trim above the kitchen door, you can see a knot in the wood that reads 301, their house number. Much like the house, this has always been there and is part of its charm and story.
When thinking of a name for my business, I couldn’t think of a better thing to build the foundation on than the years of happiness that have been felt in this home. I know its corny, but I hope that I can help people create that same feeling in their homes.
My Mission
To make design easy and collaborative—helping clients enjoy the process as much as the finished space. Whether I’m designing a kitchen or translating a designer’s sketches into detailed cabinetry drawings, my mission is to make every step clear, creative, and stress‑free.
Core values
—
Core values —
Approachability
Design should be for everyone—not just the ultra-luxury crowd.
Collaboration
The best work happens when everyone’s expertise is valued—whether that’s a homeowner, a contractor, or another designer.
Reliability
I meet deadlines, give quick responses and clear explanations. No ghosting, I communicate clearly and keep projects on track, always.
Craftsmanship
I obsess over the details: cabinet reveals, trim profiles, trim profiles, tile layouts. The small things make the difference.
To me, every project is personal.
I treat your home as if its my own, helping you make good decisions that will stand the test of time.
